Teacher Skills
This summer I would like to work on a number of things. Principally, three things will be on the forefront of my focus.
1:Using Powerpoint notes presentations. My school is scheduling to allow me to use an LCD projector next year and I plan on using powerpoint heavily in my classroom with regards to notes. This summer should give me some good practice.
2. Transitions. I'd like to improve on my transitions during lessons.
3.Alternative assessments. Hopefully I will pick up some alternative assessment ideas from my colleagues and use some of these more effectively.
A strength I feel I have as a teacher is my questioning techniques. I believe I am good at walking my students through the learning process by asking appropriate/effective questions that lead my students to correct conclusions.
